China Glaze Glittering Garland & Christmas Stamping

I've said it 100 times, but I'm really not a fan of green nail polish.  I've never found it astoundingly beautiful on my hands.  That again being said, I found China Glaze Glittering Garland somewhat an exception to the rule.  I like what it brought to the table!  I wanted to add some nail art to it, too.  This was the final product:

My thumb is stained a bit, that drives me nuts when I don't realize it until a day or so later while cropping pictures after the manicure is long gone.  I apologize for the sloppiness! Allow me to walk you through how I got to the previous photo though. (=

Three coats of Glittering Garland.
I started with 3 coats of Glittering Garland.  Two would've been enough if I had been more consistent in my application.

"Natural" Light

Flash
Depending on the lighting, they look like two totally different polishes!  I guess that goes with most polishes, though.  It sparkles more with flash but looks much darker.  The flash pictures are more true-to-life.

I used fauxnad plate M03 and Konad Special White for the snowflake design seen below.

It was pretty just like this but I can't ever leave well enough alone, so of course I added more and more.

As you can see, I didn't stamp the snowflakes with a green polish.  I used some cheapo dollar store brand called b.s.n in Ivy, its a bright green jelly, over top of the snowflakes.  I then used BM plates 205 and 225 for the Christmas designs.  After they tried I put one coat of Confetti Tiara over and then sealed with OTD.

Let me just tell you that the b.s.n. polishes are the most vile scented things I've encountered in my entire life.  It doesn't smell like nail polish, or that chemical Klean Color smell.  It smells like hell. OK, so it does smell chemically, but it's beyond explanation.. sooo I guess that ends my post. LOL.

Beyonce Countdown Inspired Manicure

Sooooo Beyonce is probably one of my favorite singers ever.  I've been wearing her new album out and when I found out Countdown was going to be a single I got really excited at the prospects of what the video could be. It's such a fun song and the video really lives up to that.  I love the colors and patterns in the video so it inspired me to design a manicure.

And this is what I came up with :D
I took some still screenshots of the video so you can see where I pulled the inspiration from. I used a ton of different polishes for this manicure so I'm going to list them accordingly.

Sally Hansen Prisms: Purple Diamond + Guest Nails!

I am so happy to finally own Purple Diamond!  This color is beautiful and it's really hard not to stare at my nails.  It's such a happy polish.

This is 3 coats of Purple Diamond over CND Stickey and topped with NYC Grand Central Station Quick Dry Top Coat - which is really good, especially for $1.99!  This polish has a divine formula.  Three thin coats, dries quickly (as holos do) and was easy to apply.  I'm not sure on wear length though.

Look at the rainbows!

Macro nail shot - DROOL.

My friend Coryn is going to a concert this week and wanted nails to suit to the event.  She chose China Glaze Haunting with a white star konad accent.

I did two coats of Haunting over a CND Stickey and sealed it with a coat of Out the Door.  I used Konad Special White for the stamping. She was so excited!  I love doing my friend's and family's nails - it makes me so happy to be able to do something nice for them!  It also helps me mentally justify having so many bottles.  "SOMEONE might need this one day!" Hey, whatever works, right? :D

Best Haul Ever!

Today I recieved my order from NailXChange.  She's having a blogsale and I purchases some real beauties from her.  I also squashed my biggest lemming ever:  Sally Hansen Prisms Blush Diamond (Light Version)!

Ooooooh! How exciting!
I purchased a total of 5 prisms, 3 Takoko and got 2 Coloramas as gifties!

I cant remember the order of which these are after I mixed them up since they are similar but my lot included:
Purple Diamond - Pink Rose Diamond (Dark) - Pink Rose Diamond (Light) - Blush Diamond (Dark) - Blush Diamond (Light). I am beyond thrilled to finally own these.  I am a huge fan of pink holos, and these are exactly what I love!

My friend picked out the 3 Takoko ones (307-398-367) and two gift Ruby Rays.

How amazing is this haul?! I got the whole bunch for about $50 with shipping and PayPal fees - not bad!  I can't wait to wear these. I got Purple Diamond on now, post coming soon.

Butter London Victoriana

I bought this baby on my birthday.  Ulta had a BOGO sale, so I only paid $24 for FOUR Butter Londons.  Victoriana is gorgeous but chips like crazy.  Both me and my friend have worn it and had the same problems.  I don't really even know how to define this polish besides it being a blue of some sort. So anyways, here she is:

This was 3 (possibly 2, but probably 3) over Orly Nail Armor and topped with OTD. It chipped within a few hours.  Have you had this problem with Victoriana?  My other Butter Londons were fine!

China Glaze Blue Year's Eve

So I love this color.  The pictures just don't do it justice.  It was stunning on my nails, really.  And such a pretty shade of blue inspires me to want to do nail art.  Some stamping, or some snowflakes or something.  I think China Glaze Blue Year's Eve will be making another appearance!  Here are some pictures until then:

Three coats.
