i was wondering where you go-to websites are for nail supplies.
where do you get your polishes?
rhinestones?
im not talking about dollar tree hauls, but trusted, affordable sites. there is sooo many to choose from!

where has this year gone?!
holy cow! time to breathe!
its been non-stop go-go-go mode since i last posted anything.
i graduated with my associates degree this month :D accepted to my first choice school and have busted my ass doing so! i got my tonsils out yesterday (ugh talk about a new level of pain) and have had spare time to snoop around the nail blogs and hopefully get back into the gist of things! to be honest, i miss blogging and i miss reading all of the blogs i follow, too.
as a graduation present, i purchased seven new china glaze polishes that should be here eventually, i guess. im assuming snail mail will be worse than usual considering all of the holiday shipping going on.
basically that last manicure i documented is on my facebook from june! i havent had the time or patience to even take a simple picture.
my unofficial recollection of this mani;
base color was hard candy
pineapple was some sort of cappucino colored nameless brand
the green was a nail art from five below, idk which!
look how shoddy my cuticles are haha. well nice nails wont further me in life so i suppose the sacrifices ive made are only worth it in the long run xD my nails are actually super cute right now but i dont have a camera to photograph with. i hope to get back into the swing of things and cant wait to show off my new polishes (=
miss you all, how have you been?!

marble swatches
ive been playing around with marbling a lot to figure out the best techniques. i still havent figured that out but i did make some cute color combinations lol.
im starting to think marbling would be a great idea for highschool girls going to a pep rally or something along those lines. i made one (not shown) of virginia tech's colors unintentionally. a lot of school colors would look nice marbled. i was thinking my own highschools colors. since i transfered my junior year i have two sets. the first was silver and navy blue and the other was gold and blue. just a thought!
heres what i think when i see these samples: halloween (spiderweb nails), cotton candy and summer! im going a pineapple mani soon, ill show pics later this week. i love the results!! sorry though, i cannot remember which brands or names these are.. i was just mixing and matching haphazardly. enjoy regardless. click for enlarged detail! "fruit stripe gum" mani!
pink & yellow are two of my favorite colors, but it wasnt until i finished this marbled mani that i realized they looked a bit like fruit stripe gum, especially my pinky! this time i think it went a little bit better than my previous attempts. im starting to figure out what works best for me and which techniques are more efficient.

from left to right (and in the order used):
funky fingers "off with their heads!"
hard candy "splendid"
konad black
l.a. colors art deco "gold glitter"
sally hansen intsa-dri anti-chip top coat
i used fauxnad plate m11 for the design. i also used my dotting tool with the gold glitter to enhance the overall look by putting dots of gold glitter over the black dots.
i was happy with the final result, mostly because i havent been able to get a marble to look halfway decent. i think this mani overall though is a little flashy for me. i only wore it for one day and ended up taking it off. i dont know if it was the color against my skin or what but i think i have a preference for more simple manicures! i did my friends nails too with a neon purple and a neon blue and she wears it so much better than i wore mine. ill try to get pics of hers up later.
also, just a side note: five below has an alice in wonderland collection with some very pretty cremes. there is also a blue glitter that was beautiful! not sure if this is old news or not but i was so excited!

sinful colors; beautiful girl
first off i wanted to say WOWWWWW school has consumed me! and secondly, all my nails broke, so i grew them back out.. and then they continued to break. so im just doing my own thing right now with some store bought tips that come bare and have been decorating them myself. i miss my natural nails but im just too rough with them. i actually broke a few in my sleep which continues to baffle me. and not just chip, but BREAK.
first gripe about the fakies is that i bought the wrong style, i got short square.. im thinking i shouldve gotten active square. i have to trim them SO much before theyre ok by my preferences. second gripe is theyre fake and going to damage my nails lol.
i was in rite aid in philadelphia this past week and i found a sinful colors color that mustve overlooked here in jersey. the display was on top of a counter instead of under one like the walgreens here.
its called beautiful girl and its a looooovely creme based baby pink. no frills, just what it is. and i LOVE IT.

fyi, daddy has been using his camera for fishing since its been so nice out.. so i had to employ my genuine POS. photo quality=low. color=mostly true. its a bit brighter i think, but i cant capture that with my camera.

today sucked.
today was a sad, sad day )=
we had to put my beloved kitty, zeus, to sleep. he was almost 14, but his old age doesnt make it any easier. he stopped eating, and lost a lot of weight. we waited a couple days more to see if he would eat again but i think the damage was already done. he was up and walking around yesterday, today he barely moved and couldnt even seem to hold his head up. the vet had a very hard time finding a vein because he was so dehydrated.

rest in peace little man, ill miss you forever <3
