I decided to spice up a day-old mani with some stamping. The base of this manicure is two coats of OPI Berlin There Done That, which is a taupey, slightly greyed out creme polish that I absolutely adore. Pardon the tip wear!
This is definitely one of those uh, "looks better from a distance" manicures. A continual and absolute frustration I've had since I've been polishing is the streakiness of black polishes when doing any sort of nail art. I've waited hours before applying top coat before, I've floated the brush across - but I still get streaks. I usually will just photoshop them out but this was too busy to do that.
I used plates BM206 and BM221 for the stamping designs. I used Wet n Wild Black Creme for the black flowers and L.A. Colors Live for the silver accents. I did do the stamping super quickly because I wasn't planning on wearing it for long. It does look much nicer from a few foot distance, sort of like a tapestry. The silver stamping was done first, then the black flowers and finally sealed with a coat of OTD.

NOW AVAILABLE! Oopsie Daisies Nail Polish Sanderson Sisters Halloween Trio
This collection was actually released a couple days prior but this is the first mention of it here. For more consistent updates check out the Oopsie Daisies Nail Polish Facebook Page.
This is one of my favorite collections to date! I am obsessed with the movie Hocus Pocus and watch it regardless of what time of the year it is, so it was an obvious decision for the Halloween collection to be based on the wicked witches themselves!
The trio consists of three jelly based polishes inspired by the witches costumes. First up is I'll Take Thee Away -I'll Take Thee Away is inspired by the delightfully dense Sarah
Sanderson. The color scheme in this polish is
derived from her spectacular costume. I'll Take Thee Away consists of
lilac, pink, purple, violet and pink holo dot glitter in various
finishes and sizes all put together in squishy dark berry base. Shown below is three coats on its own with one coat of top coat.
Next is Witchcraft. Witchcraft is inspired by the hauntingly evil Winifred Sanderson. The color scheme in this polish is derived from her wicked costume. Witchcraft consists of green holo, turquoise, green, silver and large turquoise holo dot glitter in various finishes and sizes all put together in squishy black jelly base. Shown is 3 coats on its own with one coat of topcoat. This polish can also easily be worn over a black creme for a less squishy final effect.
Closing out the trio is For Thy Sisters. For Thy Sisters is inspired by the pleasantly plump Mary Sandersons. The color scheme in this polish is derived from her fabulous costume. For They Sisters consists of silver holo squares, silver and red glitter in various sizes and finishes in a squishy darkened red jelly base. Shown is 2 coats on its own with one coat of topcoat.
The Sanderson Sisters Trio is now on sale at the Oopsie Daisies Nail Polish store for $8.50 a piece. Thanks for looking!

Cartoon Inspired Nails
I keep seeing this pop up on the Reddit nail polish board and decided to finally get them a whirl. I also keep mistakenly call them comic book nails, which I guess technically works; but they're supposed to look like cartoon nails, like the nails of a cartoon, drawn!
For this manicure I did one coat of Finger Paints Black Expressionism and then two coats of Essie Mojito Madness. I wasn't able to do a straight line along the free edge wit the green so I went back and used a nail art brush with the same black polish to finish the edge. This is over Orly Bonder, sealed with OTD, and then I mattified it afterwards.
What do you think? Better mattified or shiny? Goofy or clever?

Oopsie Daisies Nail Polish - Moonside
I wore Moonside recently and took some new pictures of it I thought were worth sharing.
I did something a little different than the last time I wore Moonside; this is three somewhat thin coats of Moonside with two layers of top coat. It's bit hungry, so the extra top coat layer helped smooth it out really nicely!
Above is Moonside from Earthbound, a really trippy part of the game. (Yes, Dali's Clock is an enemy!)
Moonside is a black jelly with three types of neon glitter: blue, orange and green.
Good news! I just restocked Moonside!

Oopsie Daisies Halloween Harvest Nail Polish Duo
I mentioned earlier this week that I was going to release my Autumn polishes, and now is the time! The duo consists of two polishes inspired by some harvest time favorites: Apple Picking and Mischief Night! I'll just mention this now, I had a pretty bad break on my left middle finger so I've got ultra-nubbins now. I really can't wait for them to grow back to my regular length!
First up is Apple Picking. Inspired by the delicious fall fruit, Apple Picking contains the colors you'd find in an orchard. It is a multicolor glitter in a clear base. It should be noted that the suspension base I use is slightly cloudy on its own but dries 100% clear. Any cloudiness in the bottle shots does not translate onto the nail at all.
Seen above is two coats of Apple Picking over China Glaze Poinsettia, Zoya Arizona, Zoya Dea and Sephora by OPI Why Yellow There... This polish is intended to be layered but I suppose it could be worn on its own if that's a look you're trying to achieve.
Mischief Night is a black jelly polish with orange, fuchsia and purple glitter. This polish is heavily pigmented so it only takes two coats to opacity. It can be layered over black, as well.
Seen above is two coats of Mischief Night own its own.

Holographic Accent Nail Mani (Layla & Hits)
I was looking forward to writing this post all day! I wore this mani for two days and it still is beautiful. That never happens, uh, ever. I got Layla Flash Black in a swap with my friend Melissa and Hits Apolo from Llarowe's 49% off sale. They're such a cute couple.
This is two coats of Hits Apolo and two coats of Layla Flash Black over the Jessica Hologram Base Coat. I sealed these off with NYC Grand Central Station.
I took these photos after an 8 hour shift at the daycare and after my shower (hair washing included). No chips! I was not expecting such awesome wear-time.
Both had really nice formulas, Apolo was a little bit runnier, but not in a bad way - it just made it easy for thin coats. Both applied so nicely and wore so well. They were shiny and sparkly and holo-y! As with most holos, they both dried really fast.
I am so happy to have these in my collection! I want to play with more holos really soon :D

The Best Layer Combination Ever!
This post is about the greatness that I discovered by layering to polishes but I want to make sure Hits Zeus gets its own glory, too. The layer combination will be further down the post.
This is 3 coats of Zeus with no topcoat. It's so much more holographic in real life but my lamp kind of killed that effect. Considering how dark it is, and how I normally dodge dark polish, I'm really blown away with how much I love it. It's divine! (Pun intended, ha!)
My camera flash helped capture some more of the rainbow though.
Zeus is more of a black than a charcoal, which seems to be more common lately. If you're looking for an actual black linear holo, this is it. While the linear effect isn't super strong, it definitely isn't scattered - they do pull to create the coveted linear effect.
Blurry macro nail shot to show the rainbow. I'm so happy I splurged on the Hits!
So that fancy layer combo I was talking about? It's incredible. My Secret Santa spoiled me and sent a package with some fantastic polishes, Nabi Iris Jumbo Glitter being one of them. I put one coat over my existing Zeus manicure and almost keeled over.
LOOK AT IT.
It's an instant galaxy effect. My nails looked like a photo of the Milky Way. I'm in love! My first Nabi and holy cow is it a good one. I sealed this manicure with one coat of Out the Door, by the way.
